Other vendors use sea containers to ship their optical tubes from the manufacturer which exposure optical elements to sea salt for months of traveling by boat. Exclusive to MallinCam VRC line of Ritchey-Chretien optical tubes, the super large size focuser
is well suited to support full size ccd cameras. Easy smooth dual speed focuser allow precision focusing and a lock screw hold the focuser in place night after night of imaging.
Every VRC RC models include the MALLINCAM brand laser etched proof of these instruments are truly custom made to our specifications of the highest quality. A standard Losmandy type 2" Dove tail is included on the bottom and top portion of the VRC-10T Front secondary collimation is possible through three holes mounted at the front of the central secondary mirror.
Mirror are dielectric coted with 99% reflectivity and include both mirrors made of Low Expansion Quartz. The entire optical assembly is made of Carbon Fiber, Aircraft grade Aluminum using a serrurier type Truss design.
