Introducing the new MallinCam Ds287Dob. It is made to fit in a 2" Dobsonian focuser with an added, near 2" of in-focus, allowing focusing without moving the main mirror or cutting truss poles on a Dobsonian telescope to adapt to the camera. At the heart of the this observational system is the DS287 video imaging camera with the most sensitive CMOS sensor ever created in its class, a Sony IMX287. Available in color or monochrome, it will display a live image on a laptop computer in the field like never thought possible before. Exposures less than a second is all what's needed to observe many deep sky object. Stacking on the fly is included with the software where frames are align to maintain image integrity. Dark Field subtraction and flat field frame is also possible live on-the-fly making this Dobsonian Observational System a first in the world.
The MallinCam DS287Dob can be set for live application where exposures less than a second is possible to quickly display many deep sky object live uninterrupted by long exposures delay making this observational system possible to view in instant live mode. At 525 frames per seconds, the MallinCam DS287Dob monochrome model has been tested on Dobsonian telescopes where no tracking were used during the observation run. Included with the MallinCam DS287Dob is the MallinCam 0.5X focal reducer which will further increase sensitivity and increasing field of view.
The Dob adapter ring can be adjusted to center the camera within the light cone entering the focuser, Included is a 5 meters (15 feet) premium high grade USB 3 cable, software disk, 0.5X focal reducer, Dob adapter ring,
