Introducing the long-awaited MallinCam SkyRaider DS432, a video/imager that redefines sensitivity with a high Quantum Efficiency (QE) unparalleled in the industry. Powered by the cutting-edge Sony Industrial IMX432 CMOS sensor, this camera achieves a level of sensitivity that not only matches but surpasses CCD sensors currently available. With 9.0 x 9.0 microns pixels akin to those found in professional cameras, the DS432 is a must-have for enthusiasts who prefer capturing their favorite deep-sky targets with minimal exposure time, presenting live views on the screen, or immortalizing their observations through images and videos.
The cooling system mirrors the proven design of our other SkyRaider models (DS10cTEC, DS16cTEC). MallinCam has ingeniously implemented a refrigeration cooling chamber, subjecting the CMOS sensor to cooling within a triple-sealed, vacuumed sensor chamber. Controlled by a heating element around the internal optical window, this system prevents dew formation on the window and its surroundings without the need for desiccant material, maintaining a permanently dew-free environment.
The industrial-grade Sony IMX432 CMOS sensor operates at a 100% duty cycle, ensuring longevity and sustained imaging performance throughout the night. Available in both color and monochrome options, catering to purists seeking monochromatic performance and heightened sensitivity, the IMX432LLJ and IMX432 LQJ variants boast a diagonal of 17.6 mm (Type 1.1), featuring a square pixel array with 1.78 million effective pixels.
