(MA-03) Digital View Finder (DVF)
NEW !!! The New MallinCam DVF is a special Digital View Finder compatible with all astronomical video ccd cameras. It includes a 3.5 inch 800X480 pixels LCD LED High Resolution screen that allows you to operate a MallinCam Video CCD camera just like an eyepiece in full color. The New MALLINCAM DVF will enhance the stability, give you better resolution, and allow you to get your eye where it most comfortably needs to be. The additional HDMI loop output also enables a third field monitor or projector. Ideal for solar observing through a Solar Scope in the day time. The main viewfinder can be lifted allowing the 3.5" high resolution monitor to be observed directly. Ideal for star parties where monitor glow can bother other observers. Can be tilted for comfort while observing. The Viewer assembly can be hinged up out of the way and held with built-in magnetic holders, allowing a direct view of the 3.5" high resolution monitor. Complete view finder assembly can be removed allowing monitor use only.
(Camera in the images is not included and is for example only.) Note that the DVF alone accepts only a standard HDMI input. To connect to a camera with S-video or Composite video output you will require the HDMI upscaler as well. See the next item below for more information on this bundle.

Allows the camera to be inserted farther into the focuser than if you had to use a traditional 1.25"-to-2" adapter. This adapter also act as a Heat Dissipator. Allen wrench and Allen screw included. Each side has four pre-threaded holds to accept the 2" fan kit as an option. 100% designed and made in Canada by MallinCam with the highest quality aircraft aluminum and anodized for durability.

Back in the 2008 we worked on a formula to apply to all CCD and CMOS sensors to clean and treat them with an anti-fog coating to reduce fog forming on the sensor. We have been using this formula since 2010 on just about all the optical surfaces on our cameras with a proven track record. The same formula has now been finalized and made available commercially to everyone who wishes to have the Anti-Fog Treatment Kit from MallinCam. The dry solution can be applied on the optical window of all astronomical cameras, eyepieces, and even on the corrector plate of SCT telescopes. The formula is non-toxic and safe for the environment, and can be applied to most optical surfaces with ease. We've included an air bulb to remove stubborn dust particles that produce "Dust Bunnies" from your astronomical cameras and other optics.
A sealed Ziploc bag comes with the kit to keep the Anti-Fog Cloth safe and free of dust.
