But this year AstroCATS had a different flavor to it. Organizers had the RASC GA at the same time. Royal Astronomical Society of Canada organize the GA (General Assembly) once a year where scientists, astronomers even astronauts were present among professional people. The crowd were certainly different flavor than all the other years at AstroCATS as we were dealing with true scientific minded people instead of amateur astronomers looking to by the latest "toys". That was a refreshing environment and a tough one too and it made it very interesting.
One major hit for MallinCam was the introduction of the Aerogel insulation to the MallinCam Xterminator series of camera. That has attracted several engineers present at the show and discussed with us how did we do it. Needless to say conversation were most refreshing and very informative to say the least.
Several cameras were sold including the MallinCam SSI with its new updated software where deep sky can be done, dark frame subtraction on the fly made the SSIc and SSIm and SSI-L among the most popular camera sold at the show. The latest software improvement has made a giant leap into the expansion of this camera where a true scientific sensor is used in these models.
The ever popular Micro Kits sold out quickly in the two day event along with the SkyRaider NetBook Kit. The MallinCam SLP has also been sold to several people with satisfying results. The MallinCam Jr PRO is also a favorite along with the MallinCam Xterminator.
All in all, the MallinCam volunteer crew were very helpful and had the attention of every person walking to our booth. I would like to personally thank the following people for the immense help and expertise in the field in promoting live video astronomy observation and public outreach::

With your help and dedication in educational astronomy, the show would not have been the same, Thank you!
